Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Schmear ("we", operated by Hot Butter Labs LLC) collects and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account info: your name and email address.
• Contact data you add: names, LinkedIn URLs, memos, and the events you file them under.
• Billing info: handled by Stripe; we don't store your card number.
• Basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

To provide the service (store and organize your contacts), authenticate you, send account emails (verification, password reset), and process payments. We do not sell your data or the contacts you record.

Service providers

We share data only with processors that help us run Schmear:

• Stripe — payments.
• Resend — transactional email.
• Hosting & CDN (server provider and Cloudflare) — to serve the app.

The contacts you add

You're responsible for the people you record. Only add contact information you have a lawful basis to collect. If someone you've recorded asks to be removed, delete their entry (or email us).

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual contacts in the app, or request full account deletion by emailing us — we'll remove your data within a reasonable period.
